Privacy Policy
This policy applies to the Android application Food Rush
(package com.restsim.game). It explains what information the game
handles, why, and what control you have over it.
1. Who we are
Food Rush (“the Game”, “the App”) is developed and published by CODV (“we”, “us”, “our”), operating from Egypt.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hosmarey@gmail.com.
2. The short version
- We do not have accounts, logins, or a server. We do not know who you are.
- Your game progress is stored only on your own device. We never receive it.
- We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or location.
- The Game shows rewarded video ads (Google AdMob) and offers in-app purchases (Google Play Billing, managed via RevenueCat). These two partners collect limited technical and transactional data, described in section 4.
- Uninstalling the Game deletes everything it stored. There is also a Reset Save button inside the Game’s settings menu.
3. Information stored on your device only
The Game saves your progress locally using your device’s standard app-storage
mechanism (Android SharedPreferences, via the Capacitor Preferences plugin).
This includes:
- Restaurant progress, unlocked venues, upgrades and modules
- Currency balances (cash, jewels, coins, event tokens)
- Staff roster, assigned roles and levels
- Daily-reward streak, quest and event progress
- Settings (music, sound effects, haptics, graphics quality)
- Counters for how many rewarded ads you have watched today, and which in-app purchases you have made
This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us. We operate no servers and have no ability to read it. It is not backed up to our systems, and it is not linked to any identifier we hold.
If Android’s own Auto Backup feature is enabled on your device, Android may include this save data in your personal Google Drive backup. That backup is controlled by you and Google under Google’s Privacy Policy, not by us.
4. Information collected by our service providers
We use two third-party services. Each is an independent data controller for the data it collects, and each has its own privacy policy which we encourage you to read.
4.1 Google AdMob — advertising
The Game shows rewarded video ads, which you choose to watch in exchange for in-game rewards. Ads are not shown automatically or between screens.
To serve, cap and measure these ads, Google AdMob may collect:
- Your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID)
- Device and app information — model, operating-system version, app version, language, and mobile network / carrier
- IP address, which Google may use to infer approximate (city-level) location
- Ad interaction data — which ads were shown, viewed, or clicked, and whether an ad was completed
- Signals used to detect invalid or fraudulent ad traffic
Google’s handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Advertising Policies.
Consent. Where required by law — including in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland — the Game presents a consent form the first time you play, provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform. You may choose whether to allow personalised advertising. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalised. You can change your choice at any time from the Game’s settings menu.
Your device controls. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising identifier, or opt out of ad personalisation entirely, at Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path varies by manufacturer and Android version).
4.2 Google Play Billing and RevenueCat — in-app purchases
If you buy an in-app item (for example a jewel pack or the Starter Bundle):
- The transaction is processed by Google Play. We never see or receive your payment card details, billing address, or full name. Payment is handled entirely between you and Google under Google’s Payments Privacy Notice.
- We use RevenueCat to verify that a purchase is genuine and to restore purchases you have already made. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated, pseudonymous app user ID, the purchase receipt or token issued by Google, the product purchased, the transaction time and amount, and basic device and platform information.
- This pseudonymous ID is not linked to your name or email address, because we never collect those.
RevenueCat’s handling of this data is governed by the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
4.3 Google Play
Google Play collects information about app installs, updates and crashes independently of us, under Google’s Privacy Policy. If you send us a crash report through Google Play, we may see aggregated, anonymised crash and performance statistics in the Play Console. These do not identify you.
5. What we do not do
For clarity, and because many mobile games do these things:
- We do not operate user accounts, logins, or profiles.
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, photographs, contacts, calendar, microphone or camera data.
- We do not request or collect precise GPS location. The Game requests no location permission at all.
- We do not have online multiplayer, chat, friend lists, or a real leaderboard. The in-game “Leaflet Challenge” leaderboard is entirely simulated on your own device — the rival names and scores are generated locally by the Game and are not other players. Nothing you do in that event is transmitted anywhere.
- We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the advertising described in section 4.1.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs of our own.
- The only permission the Game declares is internet access, which is required to load ads and process purchases.
6. Why we process this data (legal bases)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are:
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Storing your game progress on your device | Necessary to perform the service you requested (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Processing in-app purchases and restoring them | Necessary to perform a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Verifying purchases and preventing fraud | Our legitimate interest in preventing payment fraud (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Showing non-personalised ads to fund the Game | Our legitimate interest in operating a free game (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Showing personalised ads | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), obtained through the consent form described in section 4.1 |
You may withdraw consent for personalised advertising at any time from the Game’s settings menu, without affecting your ability to play.
7. Data retention
- On-device save data is kept until you delete it — by using Reset Save in the settings menu, clearing the app’s storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the Game.
- Advertising data is retained by Google according to its own retention schedules.
- Purchase records are retained by Google and RevenueCat for as long as needed to support restores, refunds, chargebacks, tax and accounting obligations. This is typically several years and is required by law in most jurisdictions.
8. International transfers
Our service providers are based in the United States and operate globally. Where data is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, those transfers rely on the safeguards each provider maintains — including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Details are in each provider’s own privacy policy, linked above.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California additionally have the right to know what is collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell personal information. Residents of Brazil, Egypt and other jurisdictions with comprehensive data protection laws hold broadly equivalent rights.
Because we hold no personal data about you ourselves, most requests are fastest to exercise directly:
- To delete your game data: use Reset Save in the Game’s settings, or uninstall the Game.
- To control advertising: use the in-game consent settings, or your Android advertising ID controls (section 4.1).
- For purchase records: contact Google Play support, or write to us and we will pass a request to RevenueCat on your behalf.
To make any other request, or to complain about how we have handled your data, email hosmarey@gmail.com. We will respond within one month. If you are in the EEA or UK and are unsatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
10. Children’s privacy
The Game is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Game, contact us at hosmarey@gmail.com and we will take reasonable steps to have it deleted by our service providers.
Parents should be aware that the Game contains optional in-app purchases and optional rewarded video advertising. In-app purchases can be restricted or password-protected through Google Play → Settings → Authentication → Require authentication for purchases.
11. Security
The Game transmits data to our service providers over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Save data is stored in the Game’s private application storage, which Android isolates from other apps.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Because we do not collect or hold personal information ourselves, the practical risk to you from a breach on our side is minimal — but we cannot guarantee the security of systems operated by Google or RevenueCat, and you should review their own security commitments.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Game or to the law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. If the changes are significant — for example if we begin collecting a category of data we do not collect today — we will give notice inside the Game before the change takes effect.
Continuing to use the Game after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
